Graphical Environment for Robot Simulation
Malina, Michal ; Kočí, Radek (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
This thesis deals with robot modelling and simulation of the robot behavior. At first we discuss a benefit of this kind of simulation. Next we describe the general scheme of robot. After that we select the environment where robot will be simulated in. There is a conception of this robot and explanation of the implementation in chosen environment. We continue with design and realization of the communication interface of this robot. The result of this procedure is robot with independent movement able to response to the obstructions and avoid them. Robot is able to create a map of the environment and use this map to find out the optimal way to the scheduled goal using the A* algorithm and achieve this goal. There is a possibility to use more robots in the scene. These communicate and the nearest one is able to get the goal.
Map making in geography education from teachers' perceptive
Djadik, Martin ; Krajňáková, Lenka (advisor) ; Kuberská, Markéta (referee)
The diploma thesis focuses on map making during lessons, which, according to previous research, happens only rarely, even though it has the potential to comprehensively develop pupils. The main objective of the thesis is to characterize in more detail map making during geography lessons at Czech lower-secondary schools and to identify which factors prevent teachers from incorporating this activity more frequently into their lessons. The theoretical part of the thesis describes map skills, including the skill of map making, which is subsequently characterized in detail. A crucial part is the classification of map types, which can be made during school lessons, based on Czech and foreign literature compiled by the author. The theoretical part also summarizes the occurrence of map making in curriculum frameworks, the benefits of map making, teachers' attitudes towards this activity, and the level of pupils' map making skills from the perspective of their teachers. The data for the empirical part of the thesis were obtained through a questionnaire survey, in which 253 geography teachers from lower-secondary schools participated. They filled out a questionnaire containing closed and open-ended questions that were based on academic literature. The research findings showed that the majority of teachers...
Cycling map of Croatian Island Rab
Vodňanská, Klára ; Jaroš, Jakub (advisor) ; Hettler, Jakub (referee)
Biking and hiking map of Croatian island Rab Abstract The objective of this work is to create biking and hiking map of Croatian island Rab in a scale 1 : 50 000. The primary requirement is, that map should be created from a geodatabase in a reference scale 1 : 10 000. In the theoretical part there are evaluated existing biking and hiking map in a scale 1 : 50 000 and then cartographic products which include area of island Rab. This evaluation has analysed lacks, which should be eliminated during the creation of new map. Then, in a work there is a description of chosen area, the selection of a software and based data. The practical part is focused on a procedure of creating map, from the choice of a map projection and content, through the preparation of data, creating of map key and legend, to the preparation a map for a print. The attachment of this work is new map of island Rab with a legend in three language. Keywords: biking and hiking map, map creation, map evaluation, map key, legend, cartographical representations, biking track, hiking trail
